I’m a postdoctoral researcher and writer living in Belgium. I received my Masters degree in Adelaide, Australia, before moving abroad for a PhD in literary studies. I’m interested in topics like science and literature, animals, emotion, and ethics. I’ve written and co-written widely on these topics in journals such as SubStance, American Imago, and ISLE, and am the author of the book Science and Affect in Contemporary Literature: Bodies of Knowledge (Bloomsbury 2024). For more on my academic work, including a list of publications and presentations, see Research.
As well as academic research, I write creatively—especially short stories, essays, and book ballads (poetry-style book reviews).
This is a space for me to organise and share this research and writing. If something catches your eye, or you’re interested in working with me, feel free to get in touch.
